Bricker Village Events
Bricker Village, a delightful community of locally owned businesses, is a hidden gem in the scenic Northern Lancaster County. Situated at the crossroads of routes 501 and 322, just north of downtown Lititz, our village boasts a variety of charming small businesses alongside the historic Brickerville House, which dates back to the 1700s.
Throughout the year, we host a variety of seasonal events in our charming village, which provides the perfect backdrop for gatherings like our annual Fall Fest and Holiday Open House. Recently, we have been working diligently to expand our event lineup. We love that these occasions allow small businesses, artisans, and entertainers to showcase their skills and network with other small businesses and customers within our community.
Halloween Scavenger Hunt
Children are encouraged to come in costume and join in an exciting Halloween scavenger hunt throughout Bricker Village. One lucky winner will win a gift certificate to the Brickerville House.
Young Makers Market
In Bricker Village, we fully embrace the spirit of ambitious dreamers! Every business here started as a dream, and who dreams bigger than a child?
So, in the Fall of 2023, we launched our first Young Makers Market. Starting with just nine young makers, all aged 17 or younger, the event has grown significantly, now typically showcasing over 24 young creators. Due to its overwhelming success and special significance to us, we have decided to host Young Makers Markets in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.
We are thrilled to witness the creativity the kids bring to the market and to see them support and uplift one another as they hone their customer service and entrepreneurial skills. We believe that when a child discovers a passion, a dream starts to take shape, and when their entrepreneurial spirit is ignited, something truly extraordinary unfolds.
Music & Makers
Music and Makers originated as a small, sponsored live music event held in our courtyard. The wonderful shop owners of Bricker Village came together to host a FREE concert, expressing their gratitude to the community for supporting thier small businesses while also aiming to draw in new customers from the community. The summer concert series kicked off in April 2023 and takes place every third Friday through September.
In 2024, we aimed to enhance the experience by inviting local artisan makers to participate, rebranding the event as Music & Makers. Now, on the third Friday of each month from April through September, one half of our courtyard features live music, while the other half highlights talented artisans in a vibrant makers market.
The addition of skilled craftspeople has enhanced the event, creating a celebration of auditory and visual creativity. Visitors can enjoy handmade goods while listening to local musicians. This vibrant atmosphere fosters community unity and pride, providing a platform for local artists and musicians to showcase their talents and connect with neighbors. We look forward to seeing how this event will continue to grow and evolve, bringing joy and inspiration to all who attend.
